How can I tell if my clutch is slipping?
On a warm engine in a higher gear, add throttle. If revs jump but speed lags, the clutch is slipping. Other signs include a burning smell, higher engagement point, and loss of pull on hills.
Do I need to replace the flywheel?
We measure runout and inspect for heat-spots and cracks. Some dual-mass flywheels can’t be resurfaced; if play or damage is beyond spec, replacement is the reliable choice.
What about the hydraulic fluid?
Many cars share brake fluid with the clutch circuit. Contaminated fluid can cause a low or spongy pedal. We can flush and pressure bleed to restore pedal feel.
How long does a clutch replacement take?
Most jobs are completed within a day once parts are in, though certain models require extra time. We’ll set expectations up front and keep you updated.
Do EVs have clutches?
Fully electric cars like Tesla do not use a traditional clutch. If you’re driving a hybrid or performance model with a dual-clutch, we can advise on service options.
