BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Each year Americans spend about $20 billion replacing the tires. Most tires are replaced every 3 to 5 years because of wear. A total of about 200 million replacement passenger tires are purchased in the United States annually. Each time they replace their tires, motorists spend several hundred dollars and must choose among tires varying in price, style, and many aspects of performance. The tires they do buy will affect not only the handling, traction, ride comfort, and appearance of their vehicles but also fuel economy.

SCOPE OF WORK

Original Equipment tire sizes shown in search results for particular vehicles are determined based on the best information currently available to us from vehicle manufacturers and from manual inspection of new vehicles as they are released. Many vehicles have optional trim levels/packages that include different tire sizes. This “Additional Model Info” is listed for you to choose from in search results as well.

Since variations based on options or vehicle manufacturer changes may determine the Original Equipment tire size on your vehicle, always verify the size you are purchasing matches the tire size for your vehicle (usually found in the door jamb, glove box lid or gas cap door) or in the Owner’s Manual.

It usually takes only minutes to install tires and wheels on your vehicle; but remember, they’ll probably be on for 3,000 miles or more and will roll over a million times before it’s time to rotate them. To make those miles as pleasant as possible, we will install your new Tire & Wheel Package correctly.

Check Tire Positions

If you selected directional tires and/or asymmetric tires, before installing them, match each tire and wheel to its final position on your vehicle. To prevent mistakes, actually set each wheel and tire around your vehicle just as race teams do for pit stops.

Install New Pairs of Tires on the Rear Axle

When tires are replaced in pairs, the new, deeper treaded tires should always be installed on the rear axle and the partially worn tires installed on the front. New tires installed on the rear axle help the driver more easily maintain control on wet roads because new, deeper treaded tires are more capable of resisting hydroplaning.
